I use my hands a lot. I type, write, carry boxes and stuff envelopes every day. I've made flower arrangements, checked and bagged groceries, washed dishes and carried dinner trays. Even at age 22, I have wondered what it would be like if I couldn't use my hands. I've known people of all ages who suffer from arthritis, and have seen the physical limitations that this common condition forces upon them.
More than 40 million people in North America suffer from arthritis. Many are prescribed drugs to relieve their symptoms, yet these often bring unwanted side effects. Some are as familiar as nausea, rashes, weight gain and insomnia. More severe effects can include anemia, diabetes, lowered immunity to disease, and even damage to the kidneys, liver or bone marrow.
Since arthritis and its common treatments can be so seriously debilitating, sufferers should be glad to know of a new opportunity for relief which has no harmful side effects - Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology. Many people with arthritis have already experienced significant improvements in their condition.
"I have had some definite results from Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology, excellent results," says Devani Wagner. "Due to arthritis, my knees in general had become somewhat stiff. After my consultation, both knees became springy. That was nearly two months ago, and they're still springy!"
Osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis, affects more than 17 million people in North America. Its symptoms range from mild stiffness and swollen joints to a loss of joint function. In initial research on Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology, 80 people with osteoarthritis reported an average of 40 percent relief from their symptoms after one consultation.
"I've been suffering for about 30 years from osteoarthritis," says Tommie Lane. "In trying this program, I was not prepared for total, instant relief. I was astounded! Before the consultation my hands at times would not be able to close fully. After the three sessions they not only close fully, but they're completely flexible. I am experiencing comfort where before I had discomfort and outright pain."
Rheumatoid arthritis, which affects two million people, is the most difficult to control and can do the greatest damage to the joints. Common symptoms include pain, stiffness, and swelling in the joints, lack of appetite, low grade fever, extreme fatigue, and lumps under the skin around the elbows and fingers. The research study included 31 people with rheumatoid arthritis. They reported an average of 38.5 percent relief.
"Rheumatoid arthritis runs in my family," said one research participant. "The pain and swelling in my joints has been going on for two or three decades. After my consultation the pain decreased considerably, the swelling has gone down, and it actually feels like the size of the joints is subsiding, which I never expected to happen. I'm absolutely amazed at the results."
All these reports bring good news for those suffering from arthritis, and for the rest of us who enjoy using our hands.
